( Trailer – 40 sec )
Commissioned – 2011 / Pixilation Film / 6 min 30 sec
Story, Script & Research – Kurnal Rawat & Anand Tharaney

Prince explores the black and yellow Fiat taxi of Mumbai, the one and only cab to ply on its streets until now. Using stop motion technique with rapidly shot photographic stills, the short film conveys a time lapse, of a vibrant cultural icon to its present state of discontinue. Echoed in the dreams of Bollywood, in the fantastic sticker art that refuses to burn out, in the cynicism of cabbies who would still bet on it, this 50s family car has stretched its last gasp.
Grandmother India, a multidisciplinary design studio based in Mumbai, has extensively researched on the Fiat Taxi subject and its subculture. The film is an ode to the passing of this.

The Film will be uploaded soon
